Family and Special Person Passes

The Family Pass and Special Person Pass are for athletic events held in our gym only – usually basketball and volleyball home events and tournaments. There is an entrance fee to watch those games – $6.00/family, $4.00/adult, $1.00/student. The fee helps pay for the cost of referees. The passes get the immediate family or passholder entry to all those events. You cannot use Family or Special Person passes for Cross Country, Soccer or Track events.

The Family Pass costs $50.00 and covers the parents and children (immediate family) of the family that the pass was issued to. The Special Person pass is $15.00 and covers only the individual listed on the pass. You can buy passes online on TeamSnap, or at the school office.

Note – You should not need the pass for Little Dribblers and Spirit Squad events in the gym – they do not have any refereed games or events. If you plan to come and watch many of the other events of the older athletes in the gym, you might consider a pass.

Football, Baseball & Softball Registration Information

Registering for Fall Football

There are two catholic school football programs in the South Hills that take part in the Diocesan league – The South Hills Chargers (Football and Cheer) and the St. Louise Trojans (Football only). Our students at SHCA can choose the program they wish to join – the Chargers or the Trojans.

We ask that you register your child on the SHCA Athletic Association website regardless of which football/cheer program you join. SHCA collects no fees for football – we just must track where our students are playing in the Diocese program. You still must register separately with the Chargers or Trojans.

South Hills Chargers – Registration for the South Hills Chargers football and cheer programs will open in June. If you have questions or need anything clarified, please contact Danielle Prince ( daniellemprince@gmail.com ). All the instructions about payment and physicals will be in the actual registration form itself. Equipment pickup will be towards the end of July.

St. Louise Trojans – Registration for St. Louise Trojan football is now open and here is the link to the registration form: https://registration.teamsnap.com/form/6219 . Registering for Spring Baseball and Softball

St. Louise de Marillac school offers spring baseball and softball leagues:

If SHCA has enough players to fill a team at a grade level, they can have their own team in the league, with a parent of one of the players coaching
If SHCA does not have enough players for their own teams, they can still play on other teams in the St. Louise Baseball/Softball Organization
St. Louise Baseball/Softball Organization handles everything – uniforms, schedules, etc.

Registering for Multiple Sports in a Season

Students are allowed to take part in multiple sports during a season. For example, a 6th grade girl can potentially register for Girls Volleyball, Soccer and Cross Country for the Fall season.

While the Athletic Association tries to minimize overlapping practice times for the multiple sports offered during a season that is not always possible with restrictions on access to fields and gyms, not to mention the availability of coaches.

Also, the Athletic Association has no control over when the various leagues will schedule games, meets and matches.

Please keep this in mind when you register your children for sports. Make sure they can commit to being at the practices and events for the sports they sign up for.
